Artful Living with Neiman Marcus in Riverstone

Live butterflies will flutter about in an estate by Sterling Classic Homes as professional models show some of the latest fashions from style maven Neiman Marcus. This VIP event includes hors d'oeuvres, wine and the opportunity to watch 3D artist, Tracy Lee Stum, complete her waterfall illusion inside the home. Psst... can you keep a secret? Each couple will also receive a copy of Neiman's "Book."

Fort Bend goes to the Fall Design Market

Hop aboard our fashion bus and we'll treat you to a 'champagne toddy' as we head to the Houston Design Center. Explore 30 exciting showrooms offering furniture, antiques, rugs, art, lighting and more.  Get inspired with new ideas, new designs and new products and see the latest trends in new fabrics!

Enjoy shopping, open houses and center tours and mingle with some of the area’s top designers. Guests will enjoy guided tours of designer showrooms and a lovely luncheon buffet at Charlotte Nail Antiques with a special guest speaker.  Ticket price includes luxury champagne bus transportation to and from the Houston Design Center. Pick up will be at the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce, 445 Commerce Green Boulevard, Sugar Land.  Parking is available in front of the chamber building on Commerce Green Boulevard.

Tickets without luxury transportation are available.

International Risotto Festival

The Grand Soiree and The Houston Design Center will host the 8th Annual International Risotto Festival. Guests will enjoy a delicious afternoon of food, fun and festivities with top chefs competing with some of their unique and favorite risotto recipes.

Festivities include music and entertainment, tours of designer showrooms, tastings of award-winning wines, risotto sampling, a silent auction, an awesome raffle and entertainment for the kids. Since the festival began in 2000, it has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for needy charities through the generous support of the public. This year, the Risotto Festival has partnered with The University of Houston Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management and proceeds from the 2010 Risotto Festival will benefit the college and will be dedicated to its Dean’s Academic Excellence Fund.  Children under 12 are free.

Art Gallery Showing with Kathy Womack

The Austin resident, best known for her Women & Wine series, will showcase an array of artwork in a Peterson Homebuilders’ estate home in Riverstone. The showing will include pieces from her collection. Tickets to the gallery showing are $15.

A former fashion illustrator, Womack expresses much of her creativity through the colorful and stylish outfits depicted on the women she paints. Her work is on display at galleries in both Austin and Houston, as well as online at www.kwomack.com.

Women & Wine Art Dinner with Kathy Womack

After viewing Womack’s Art Gallery Showing in Riverstone from 4-6 pm (requires separate ticket- see above), join us for a very special night with Kathy Womack herself!

Guests can experience the inspiration behind Women & Wine during the Women & Wine Art Dinner with Womack at Aura Restaurant, at 6:30 pm Oct. 18. Cost for dinner with the artist is $75, including dinner and wine.
